Columbus High School 08 State Champions

This is what some of the competition is like.

Twelve standing fulls in a row!

Football Game #1

We recently had a scrimmage against Sprayberry school last Friday on August 13. I was so nervous about cheering because I was afraid that I would mess up. Although we lost by a lot we did great against a 4A school when we are 2A. I ended up doing just fine, and it was more fun than I thought it would be. It's always fun looking up into the stands and finding your friends and watching people get to into the game. Cheering for four quarters straight can get a little tiring. By the end of the game your feet will feel like they could just fall off! Thank goodness we have comfy shoes.

Varsity Cheer

Hey my name is Lauren and I am a varsity cheerleader at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School. I am a freshman this year and it was a big accomplishment for me to make varsity. I have only been a cheerleader once in my life, this will be my second. The varsity squad does football games and competitions. I can't wait for the competitions to begin because our routine is really good and very well choreographed.  We have about six competitions this year. In our routine we have stunts like full ups, switch ups, kick fulls, kick doubles, scorpions, heel stretches, and more. The whole team has back tucks which is big this year. Jumps always make me tired, so of course we have four jumps in the routine(one hurdler and a triple toe touch back handspring). Running tumbling is very important such as a round off handspring whip handspring layout, a round off handspring layout step out,  round off handspring fulls, and so much more. There are five freshman, a couple sophomores, a bunch of juniors and four seniors. There are twenty-one people on our competition team, but only sixteen compete. I am confident that we could go all the way this year! GO TITANS!
